Chapter 12 - Clubbin'

Kali had never been to anything like Windenburg's Green High Club, in her life.  There were literally five floors at the establishment and they were all hoppin' with activity!  Thankfully, Zoey was waiting for her right inside the main entrance, or Kali might never have found her at all! 

"I know it's a bit loud in here, but TRUST me, you're gonna' have a great time!"  Zoey shouted.

Nodding, Kali agreed.  "Let's do this!"

There was at least one mini-bar per floor, multiple dj mixing booths, dance floors, fancy dipping pools and a whole lot more!  The pair wandered through each floor of the club checking out everything there was to do, until they settled on an area near the dance floor on the second level.  

"Thanks so much for asking me out here!" Kali said over the blaring music.

"Yeah, no problem!  Hey come here..." Zoey said, pulling Kali onto the dance floor.  "I have a fun line dance I wanna teach you!"

Ten minutes later, Kali and Zoey were showing off their moves to the various bystanders...in sync!

There had been lots of dancing, free snacks at the bar, and an amazing dj was spinning the latest hits...Kali was having an absolutely amazing time!  At one point during the night, Zoey had got caught up with a "hottie" at the bar, so Kali found another dance floor to get jiggy on, and got lost in the music.  Stopping at the bar for a drink, she asked the bartender for the time and was surprised to learn that she had quite literally stayed up all night, and that school would be starting in just one hour!  

Catching back up with Zoey, Kali said "Oh my gosh!  We've been here so long, I have to leave for school in sixty minutes, Zoey!" 

"Time flies when you're having fun!" Winked Zoey.

"Ain't that the truth?!" Kali nodded.

Making the most of that last hour, Kali laughed and talked with Zoey, and when she left for school she had a grin plastered across her face.  Sure, she was tired, and her hair was probably a mess, but it had been the best ending to an amazing Harvestfest that Kali had ever had!

Despite being tired, Kali's day at school had been pretty great!  Because she scored high on a test, and had gotten her school project turned in on time, her grades had improved to a "B" and that was something to celebrate.  If she studied hard, maybe she would be graduating High School next week as an "A" student!

The minute she returned home, she went right to her bedroom and fell into a much needed sleep. Later that evening, Zoey called, interrupting Kali's rest. "Hey Kali, I'm going to be leaving for The Spice Festival here in a few minutes, I hear the Pho is REALLY good, and I haven't had dinner yet!  Would you like to come with me?!"

Rubbing her eyes and sitting up in bed, Kali said, "sure, I'd love to...I've never tried Pho before."  Just give me a little bit..I could really use a shower and I should probably change my clothes.  Meet you in thirty minutes?"

"Sounds good, see you in a few." Zoey responded.

I can hardly catch a wink, but then again, getting out of the house has been so much fun, I wouldn't trade it for anything, thought Kali, as she pushed the covers down and slid out of bed.
